Miss Clara and Barefoot Books

French illustrator Claire Guiral, a.k.a. Miss Clara, has created three sumptuous books for the award-winning publisher Barefoot Books: 'The Twelve Dancing Princesses', 'The Snow Queen' and 'The Princess and The Pea', all exquisitely illustrated in Miss Clara's inimitable style using 3D characters, paper set design and then digitally blended. These delightful books are beautifully produced, lovely to handle and a joy to read. An added bonus is the audio CD which comes along with each of them. In the video below, she talks about her collaboration with Barefoot Books....

For all you Mom-preneurs out there, read the inspiring story of how two Moms started Barefoot Books (read here), and learn about how to become a Barefoot Book Ambassador here.  We are hosting a give-away of one of their fab books, so check out their site here, choose your favourite title, then leave a comment with us (and your email address, please). Give-away open for U.S. and Canada only (and sorry, no P.O. boxes). And there's extra credit from them if you follow them on Twitter or like them on Facebook!

We love Barefoot Books...I think our most read title has to be The Mountains of Tibet. We would love to win 'The Barefoot Book of Classic Poems'...it looks beautiful, and one of my sons has just begun writing poetry. It would be wonderful inspiration for both his writing and his art! sara@thingswelike.org
