My niece wrote to me yesterday to tell me something cute about her eight-year-old son. I quote from her email: "This morning George and I were watching the news. A piece about Buchwald was aired with a few clips of interviews with him. After the Buchwald piece, George turned around to face me and said: 'I'm funnier than
him.'"
I think I saw those same clips and thought the same thing! (About myself, not about George, although George sounds very funny.) But I do love Buchwald—did you see the beginning of that video tapped obit?
No, I missed it. I, too, enjoyed Art Buchwald.
